Contributions:

  • I wrote multiple articles for the blog. I specifically looked into native containers and how DOTS operates behind the scenes.
  • I shared and presented what I learned about DOTS with other teammates.
  • I took notes during our meetings to share with the team.

Parallel Threads write to one of the elements in a custom container at random according to a normal distribution. This creates a galton board effect.

Custom Native Container Series

I wrote a blog series on the details of implementing custom native containers. A native container manages its own memory and is designed to work with the job system. I looked into and explained multiple methods on how to create custom containers that work with multiple parallel threads writing to them. From this I also learned more about multi threading in C# and creating lock free containers.

The DOTS playground blog was also my first time using Hugo to write articles, learning me how to use markdown.
